It's been a rough week...

Ten days ago, Victor had to undergo another course of intravenous chemotherapy. Unfortunately, as a result of the long and arduous treatment, he was finding it increasingly difficult to keep his blood counts in the normal range.

Several platelet transfusions were necessary, but they continued to be low. Victor was admitted to the hospital on Monday. The first three days he had four more platelet transfusions and two red cell transfusions! And even though the readings were far from the minimum limit, an infusion of chemotherapy (five daily) was started at the same time. Every day Victor's condition was monitored and thank God he heroically made it through all the infusions. Despite all the accompanying ailments, he is now relatively stable. He was prescribed additional medications to maintain his vitals and double doses of injections. Follow-up blood tests are due in two days. Next week the treating team will discuss Victor's situation. A PET/CT will be done in two weeks.

Unfortunately, the TREATMENT ПРОДЪЛЖАВА‼️ And it leads to many unforeseen situations, and the costs beyond the proforma for the chemotherapy (each course 10 800 euros), exceed the chemotherapy itself.
