I never imagined that a single sheet of paper could hold so much power over my future. Yet, as I sat staring at my university tuition bill, my hands trembling, I realized that this one piece of paper could determine whether my dreams lived or died.

From the moment I was old enough to understand the struggles my family faced, I knew education was my way out. I grew up in a household where every penny was stretched beyond its limit, where my parents worked tirelessly just to keep food on the table. Luxuries like new clothes or even a simple birthday cake were rare. But what we lacked in money, we made up for in love, resilience, and the belief that one day, I would break the cycle of struggle.

Getting into university was a dream come true—a victory not just for me but for my entire family. I threw myself into my studies, excelling in computer science, economics, and mathematics. I balanced coursework with part-time jobs, often sacrificing sleep to make ends meet. Some nights, I stayed up in the library, not because I needed to, but because I couldn’t afford the transport home.

But despite my efforts, it’s not enough. Tuition fees remain an obstacle too big for me to overcome alone. And now, as I stand on the edge of an uncertain future, I fear that all my hard work, all my sacrifices, might go to waste.

I am not asking for an easy way out—I am simply asking for a chance. A chance to continue learning, to finish my degree, and to create a future where I can give back, not just to my family, but to others who face the same struggles.
