My son is in intensive care in a clinic in Turkey. It got worse about two days before the flight. The doctors are looking for the cause of infection. Could be from a stent placed on the bile duct. Every day stay and procedures are about 2000-3000Euros! Please help.

My son Julian, 42, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in m. September 2023, in Sofia, MMA hospital.

It was like a hammer blow for him and for us, family and friends.

I will never forget the day we received the biopsy results followed by a scan at Ivan Rilski Hospital - CT scan for a locally advanced T4 N2 M1 pancreatic head tumor and evidence of secondary liver lesions. Who does not know, this is one of the severe and late detectable carcinomas.

He and I were both sitting on some rocks in the hospital courtyard. We were holding hands, hugging, crying. The MMA doctor, minutes before, had told him - I don't know if you know, but this cancer has a 30% survival rate.

Julie had told him - Doctor, I will be in that 30%!

We started chemotherapy at City Clinic - Mladost. We went through one treatment, long and strong. Problems followed with dropping hemoglobin and blood transfusions. Then they changed the meds, chemo again, three weeks apart, three infusions.

On 24.01. a scan was done and it was found that there were new dissections in the liver and in the spine in 4 places. A new therapy followed, which later turned out to be palliative, i.e. supportive.

They kept quiet and didn't tell us!

It started to collect fluid in the abdomen as a consequence of the tumour being aggressive. They did a puncture, he was in the City Clinic for 4 days, he got better and then we found out that they were not going to continue the treatment because there was no point...

Then we decided to continue the treatment in Turkey. It was a difficult decision because it is expensive there and that is why I am doing this campaign.

Julie is my child. It doesn't matter how old your child is. We are me, him, my daughter and my mother.

He is our support, sunny and positive. He has done no harm to anyone. Best son, friend, grandson, brother. Always ready to help, to care.I want him to be alive and well, I want him to find a girl, to love each other and have a family.

I don't know what else to write to say it's not normal for a mother to take her son to hospitals. It's not normal for him to be 49kg and he's 1,85m tall....it's not normal to watch him torture himself.

On 13.03. he went to a clinic in Istanbul in a very serious condition. He was admitted there and is still in intensive care. He has an infection in his kidney or bile duct due to a weak immune system. They have been examining him for two days. Admitted with low blood pressure 70/50, vomiting and back pain.

The amount for the initial tests, without the ER is about 15000lv. The ER is about 4000lv per day. He will stay there as long as he has to.

I don't know yet how much the actual treatment will cost because the doctors want to clear up the side infections and problems I described above.
