На 05.07.2023 се проведе 5-тия курс следоперативна химиотерапия. За щастие престоя в болницата бе само два дни. Последваха рутинните кръвни изследвания през интервал от няколко дни.
На 12.07.2023г. се установи, че трябва да се извърши преливане на тромбоцитна маса в следствие на ниски показатели. Габи постъпи в отделението за преливането и бе освободена още на същия ден.
За жалост, няколко дни след това кръвните показатели отново бяха много ниски и се наложи и кръвопреливане, направено на 16.07.2023г.
Въпреки тези събития, Габи продължи с физиотерапията и кратките разходки. Лекарите й предписаха и специални стелки, чрез които да се изравни нивото на оперирания със здравия крак, което от своя страна да спомогне за по-лесното ходене.
Планът, очертан от д-р Бернбек (главният лекуващ лекар) е след приключване на 6-тия курс следоперативна химиотерапия (последен за Габи), да се изчака 3 седмици и ако всичко е наред, да се извърши операция по премахване на порт катетъра, през който се извършват вливанията. След това се правят контролни снимки и изследвания и се надяваме, че Габи ще може да се прибере у дома. Ще се налага проследяване през определен интервал от време, но инструкции за това ще получим малко по-късно.
Шестият курс следоперативна химиотерапия би трябвало да се проведе около края на месец Юли, в случай, че не възникнат забавяния, каквито имаше до момента. В момента Габи има инфекциозно заболяване, което следва да се повлияе от медикаментите и да отшуми до 10-12 дни. Редовно ще се проследява и кръвната й картина.
Предвид тези новини се налага отново да се удължи договора за наем на апартамента в гр. Дортмунд с още един месец. Силно се надяваме това да е последното удължаване. Прибирането у дома е тъй очаквано и мечтано, а и на Есен Габи ще бъде ученичка в ново училище. Стискаме палци всичко да се развие по план и без усложнения.

On 05.07.2023 the 5th course of postoperative chemotherapy was performed. Fortunately, the hospital stay was only two days. Routine blood tests followed at intervals of a few days.
On 12.07.2023 it was found that a platelet transfusion had to be performed due to low values. Gabby was admitted to the ward for the transfusion and was discharged the same day.
Unfortunately, a few days after that, the blood counts were very low again and a transfusion was required, which was done on 16.07.2023.
Despite these events, Gabby continued with physiotherapy and short walks. The doctors also prescribed special insoles to bring her operated leg level with her healthy leg, which in turn would help her walk more easily.
The plan outlined by Dr. Bernbeck (the main attending physician) is to wait 3 weeks after the completion of the 6th course of post-operative chemotherapy (Gabby's last) and if all is well, to perform surgery to remove the port catheter through which the infusions are made. After that, follow-up scans and tests are done and hopefully Gabby will be able to go home. She will need to be followed up at intervals, but we will get instructions on this a little later.
The sixth course of post-operative chemotherapy should take place around the end of July, assuming no delays occur as there have been so far. Gabby currently has an infectious disease which should respond to the medication and resolve in 10-12 days. Her blood counts will also be monitored regularly.
In light of this news, it is necessary to extend the lease of the apartment in the town of Gaby again. Dortmund for another month. We very much hope this will be the last extension. Coming home is so anticipated and dreamed of, and Gabby will be a student at a new school on Autumn. Fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan and without complications.
