Искаме да ви споделим за нашето истинско чудо – дъщеричката ни Гергана! Мъничето ни се роди в 26-та гестационна седмица и се пребори с множество заболявания, за да оцелее и за да може днес да ни радва с малката си и чаровна усмивка.
Поради незрелия си организъм, обаче, тя разви ретинопатия на недоносеността, в следствие на която се появи и глаукома на дясното око.
Гери има направени няколко лазерни и три хирургически операции на това око в Белгия, Германия и Турция. Към момента тя не вижда с дясното око, а зрението на лявото е ограничено. На крехката възраст от 1 месец, още докато беше в неонатологичното отделение, тя получи мозъчен кръвоизлив, който нанесе щети на мозъка. На 1г и 6м. Гергана беше диагностицирана с детска церебрална парализа, която засяга главно долните крайници и частично ръцете.
Днес Гергана посещава кинезитерапия, водна рехабилитация, училище за деца с увредено зрение, ерготерапия и детска градина.
Тя обича да е сред хора и най-вече сред деца. В детската градина, а и извън нея, тя има много приятели Гери мечтае да ходи самостоятелно, за да може да играе с нейните приятели на гоненица, криеница и да рита топка.
През лятото на 2023 г. Разбрахме за клиниката Fizikon в град Кония, Турция, в която се извършва лечение на детска церебрална парализа със стволови клетки. След няколко разговора с представители на клиниката решихме да се подложим на това лечение, за да дадем шанс на Гергана да има по-добро бъдеще, пълноценен живот и нормално детство. Сумата за лечение е непосилна за семейството ни, тъй като едно вливане струва 5200$, а трябва да се направят минимум три такива вливания, за да се постигне траен резултат. Отделно от това има много други съпътстващи разходи като транспорт, изследвания, престой и прегледи.

We would like to share with you our real miracle - our daughter Gergana! Our little one was born in the 26th gestational week and fought many illnesses to survive and to be able to delight us today with her small and charming smile.
However, due to her immature body, she developed retinopathy of prematurity which resulted in glaucoma in her right eye.
Geri has had several laser and three surgical operations on this eye in Belgium, Germany and Turkey. Currently, she cannot see out of her right eye and has limited vision in her left eye. At the tender age of 1 month, while still in the neonatal unit, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage which caused damage to her brain. At 1y 6m. Gergana was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, which mainly affects the lower limbs and partially the arms.
Today Gergana attends kinesiotherapy, aquatic rehabilitation, school for children with visual impairment, occupational therapy and kindergarten.
She enjoys being around people and especially children. In kindergarten, and outside, she has many friends Geri dreams of walking independently so she can play chase, hide and seek and kick a ball with her friends.
In the summer of 2023, she will be able to play with her children. We found out about the Fizikon Clinic in Konya, Turkey, which provides stem cell treatment for cerebral palsy. After several conversations with representatives of the clinic, we decided to undergo this treatment to give Gergana a chance to have a better future, a full life and a normal childhood. The amount of the treatment is prohibitive for our family, as one infusion costs $5,200 and a minimum of three such infusions must be done to achieve a lasting result. Apart from this there are many other incidental expenses like transportation, tests, stay and check-ups.
