Help Isabella Win Her Battle Against Cancer: A Miracle of Hope and Love

Isabella, whom we affectionately call Bella, is a brave 8-year-old girl whose life took an unexpected turn. Happily prepared to start a new school year with her new supplies, Bella faced an unforeseen challenge. On January 15th of this year, after sporadic symptoms of vomiting and headaches, we received a heartbreaking diagnosis: a brain tumor. Thanks to the diligence of a pediatric gastroenterologist at the Hospital Italiano who requested a CT scan, we discovered the illness that changed our world. This was our first miracle.

The situation intensified quickly, and thanks to the exceptional team of neurosurgeons at Sanatorio Los Arcos, led by Dr. Roberto Jaimovich, Bella underwent a crucial operation lasting over eight hours. The team managed to almost entirely remove a 5 cm diameter tumor, identified as a rapidly growing malignant medulloblastoma. A small portion remained in the brainstem, marking our second miracle.

Subsequently, Bella faced a challenging postoperative period: hydrocephalus, meningitis, urinary infections, and spikes in intracranial pressure, which required the installation of a valve in her head. Despite everything, she began a daily regimen of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Her strength and smiles continue to inspire us all, and she even received the sacrament of confirmation, a testament to her unbreakable spirit.

In the midst of our despair, we found a ray of hope through the SJD Foundation, which offered us a real opportunity for Isabella's treatment at the SJD Hospital in Barcelona. This center is not only a hospital but also a haven of hope for families facing complex conditions, offering personalized and cutting-edge therapies. This contact was made possible thanks to a family friend, Gustavo, our third miracle.

Today, driven by love and hope, we are launching a fundraising campaign to cover Isabella's medical expenses and move towards the fourth miracle: her complete recovery, which amounts to approximately 190,000 euros. Each contribution brings us closer to making this dream a reality.

UN FINAL FELIZ PARA  ISABELLA!

Ayuda a Isabella a Ganar su Batalla contra el Cáncer: Un Milagro de Esperanza y Amor
Isabella, a quien cariñosamente llamamos Bella, es una valiente niña de 8 años cuya vida dio un giro inesperado. Alegremente preparada para comenzar un nuevo ciclo escolar con sus útiles nuevos, Bella enfrentó un desafío imprevisto. El 15 de enero de este año, tras síntomas esporádicos de vómitos y dolores de cabeza, recibimos un diagnóstico desgarrador: un tumor cerebral. Gracias a la diligencia de una médica pediátrica gastroenteróloga del Hospital Italiano que solicitó una tomografía computada, descubrimos la enfermedad que cambió nuestro mundo. Este fue nuestro primer milagro.

La situación se intensificó rápidamente, y gracias al excepcional equipo de neurocirujanos del Sanatorio Los Arcos, liderado por el Dr Roberto. Jaimovich, Bella se sometió a una operación crucial de más de ocho horas. El equipo logró extraer casi en su totalidad un tumor de 5 cm de diámetro, identificado como un meduloblastoma maligno de rápido crecimiento. Un pequeño resto quedó en el tronco cerebral, marcando nuestro segundo milagro.

Posteriormente, Bella enfrentó un posoperatorio lleno de desafíos: hidrocefalia, meningitis, infecciones urinarias y picos de presión intracraneal, que requirieron la instalación de una válvula en su cabeza. A pesar de todo, comenzó un régimen diario de quimioterapia y radioterapia. Su fortaleza y sonrisas continúan inspirándonos a todos, y hasta recibió el sacramento de confirmación, un testimonio de su inquebrantable espíritu.

En medio de nuestra desesperación, encontramos un rayo de esperanza a través de la Fundación SJD, que nos ofreció una oportunidad real para el tratamiento de Isabella en el Hospital SJD en Barcelona. Este centro no solo es un hospital sino también un refugio de esperanza para familias que enfrentan condiciones complejas, ofreciendo terapias personalizadas y de última generación. Este contacto fue posible gracias a un amigo,m de la familia Gustavo, nuestro tercer milagro.

Hoy, impulsados por el amor y la esperanza, lanzamos una campaña de recaudación de fondos para cubrir los gastos médicos de Isabella y acercarnos al cuarto milagro: su completa recuperación, los cuales rondan  la suma  de 190.000 euros. Cada contribución nos acerca a hacer realidad este sueño.
