Hello, dear people!

Two days ago, on Sunday, we finished the fifth course of chemotherapy, from Victor's new treatment, and we were discharged from the hospital. I waited to share the information with you because he wasn't feeling well and I wasn't sure if we would have to go back to the hospital. The chemotherapy course itself (three days), started a day later than scheduled. Because of low leukocytes. They gave him an injection, and with satisfactory results, started the infusion. Alas, after the first day, they had to discontinue it again. This time because of abdominal discomfort. Once the condition was under control, the infusions continued. After completing the chemotherapy course, Victor picked up a fever. Which added another day's stay in the hospital. Thanks to the professional actions of the treatment team and the minute by minute monitoring of the condition of the children in the ward, things were brought under control immediately. During the infusions, Vicky wouldn't put a bite of food in his mouth, he was nauseous, vomiting, had no strength to get out of bed, or even to speak. The whole "bouquet" of ailments from the heavy chemotherapy, are present. This continued in the quarters where he takes medication and we give injections. He also continues to take the oral chemotherapy daily. Today I can say that Vicky is relatively well. And I pray this continues! The years of chemotherapy accumulated makes things more complicated. It's getting harder and harder for the body to recover. Blood tests are due on Thursday for the vitals. I will share the results with you. I also expect to receive the invoices for this course. Everything, outside of the chemo infusions, is paid for separately, even the extra hospital stay, which makes the treatment financially burdensome. I bow my head, with deep gratitude, to you all! For your compassion and tireless support, without which, my child, could not even have a chance at treatment! You give us the faith, the hope, the strength to continue fighting for his life!
