URGENT!!!Hello friends, acquaintances and strangers.

My name is Ivan, 54 years old, from Samokov.Husband, father and grandfather, who is trying with all his might to overcome the successive hardships.

I have been living with type 1 diabetes for 45 years.This disease has led to many complications.In 2010 I developed CKD and since 2018 I have been on the waiting list for a kidney transplant.I am still waiting.In 2022 at the hospital "Lozenets" after prostate surgery I experienced sepsis,which almost took my life.Thank God and the care of doctors from other hospitals saved me from a fatal end.After discharge from another hospital I had to learn to walk and talk at home with the help of family, friends and rehabilitation workers.It was a great shock for me when I found out that at that age I had to continue my life with a diaper due to incontinence (not urine retention) obtained after the operation in hospital "Lozenets".After almost 2 years of struggle I found a way to throw away the diaper on the recommendation of the doctors due to the risk of a new infection and sepsis dormant in my body.Hope was given to me by the hospital "Memorial Shishli" in Istanbul.2024After many tests,examinations and a second prostate operation I was fitted with an artificial stricture(AMS800).Currently I have to start haemodialysis for which an AV fistula is needed,but the doctors say that the blood vessels are so risky,damaged by years of diabetes,that at any moment the irreversible could happen.I have a chance given to me by Memorial Hospital to do all these procedures,which are mandatory before starting dialysis:AV fistula,hemodialysis catheter,coronary angiography,peripheral arterial angiography with carbon dioxide,dialysis.This whole procedure costs 20 500euro,which we do not have.During the stay we may need additional procedures,which are not included in this offer.So far we have somehow managed but now everything is unaffordable for our family.

3 years ago the most wonderful,but also very scary thing happened in my life.My beautiful grandson was born,a sunshine,which gave me a new reason to live,but he is also trapped in the fate:genetic mutation of GRIN2B.He doesn't speak,his eyesight,brain,endocrine system are damaged,he lives with constant rehabilitation and medication.All our money goes to the little one's rehabs,or to another treatments for me.I need these treatments in Turkey,to live and be by his side,while he fights his disease.

Please,good people come into our home and see the two intertwined fates!

Help me to hug my grandson a thousand more times and be his silent guardian in this unequal battle!!!
