Бояна е едва на 14 години, но вече повече от десетилетие води тежка битка със сколиозата. От 3-годишна възраст животът ѝ преминава в кинезитерапевтични салони и басейни, а от 4-годишна носи корсет. До днес е сменила над 15 корсета – тя не познава живот без тях.
На 9 години претърпя първата си операция в Аджибадем Маслак, Истанбул, извършена от проф. Ахмед Аланай по иновативния метод VBT (Vertebral Body Tethering). За съжаление, след инцидент кордата се скъса и кошмарът започна отново – нови корсети, ново чакане.
Днес Бояна е висока 171 см, но кривината продължава да расте. На 12.11.2025 г. след пореден преглед проф. Аланай беше категоричен: без ревизионна операция състоянието ѝ ще се влошава и всичко постигнато досега ще бъде загубено.
До този момент ние сами покривахме всички разходи – прегледи, рехабилитация, корсети, първата операция. Но сумата за втората операция е 85 000 евро – непосилна за нас.
✨ Въпреки трудностите, Бояна никога не е спирала да учи и да се развива. Още от първи клас участва в редица състезания по математика, където печели призови места и награди. След 4-ти клас е приета в Математическа гимназия „Баба Тонка“ – Русе в математическа паралелка, а след отличното си представяне на матурите продължава образованието си там и след 8-ми клас.
През годините е участвала в множество състезания индивидуално и с отбора BoEl, като е полуфиналист в Solve for Tomorrow 2023. Същата година печели награда за „Най-социален проект“ в Националния есенен турнир по информационни технологии „Джон Атанасов“.
🎶 В свободното си време Бояна пее, свири на китара и пиано, и посещава курс по дигитално рисуване – талантливо и вдъхновяващо дете, което мечтае за здраво и пълноценно бъдеще.

Boyana is only 14 years old, but for more than a decade she has been fighting a tough battle with scoliosis. Since the age of 3 her life has been spent in kinesiotherapy gyms and swimming pools, and since the age of 4 she has worn a corset. To date, she has changed over 15 corsets - she doesn't know life without them.
At the age of 9 she underwent her first surgery in Ajibadem Maslak, Istanbul, performed by Prof. Ahmed Alanay under the innovative VBT (Vertebral Body Tethering) method. Unfortunately, after an accident the cord broke and the nightmare started again - new corsets, new waiting.
Today Boyana is 171 cm tall, but the curvature continues to grow. On 12.11.2025 after another examination prof. Alanay was adamant: without revision surgery, her condition will worsen and everything achieved so far will be lost.
Up to this point, we have covered all the expenses ourselves - examinations, rehabilitation, corsets, the first operation. But the amount for the second operation is 85,000 euros - unaffordable for us.
✨ Despite the difficulties, Boyana has never stopped learning and developing. Since first grade she has participated in many math competitions, where she won prizes and awards. After the 4th grade she was admitted to the Mathematics High School "Baba Tonka" - Ruse in the mathematics class, and after her excellent performance in the matriculation exams she continued her education there after the 8th grade.
Over the years, she has participated in numerous competitions individually and with the BoEl team, being a semi-finalist in Solve for Tomorrow 2023. That same year, she won the "Most Social Project" award at the John Atanasoff National Fall IT Tournament.
🎶 In her free time, Boyana sings, plays guitar and piano, and takes a digital drawing course - a talented and inspiring child who dreams of a healthy and fulfilling future.
