Здравейте мили хора,
Продължаваме да ви държим в течение по отношение на лечението и състоянието на Габи.
Както бяхме споделили в предходната новина, Габи се бореше с инфекция. Почти месец Габи не е напускала болницата поради това усложнение. През изминалите дни тя беше подложена на изследвания за туберкулоза, следяха се редовно кръвните й показатели, направи се компютърна томография на глава и гръден кош, след което последва и вземане на гръбначно-мозъчната течност под анестезия. За наша радост изследванията не показаха разпространение на инфекцията в изследваните участъци. Температурата се овладя, повръщането значително намаля, въпреки, че Габи все още не е достатъчно стабилна и не се храни пълноценно и от време на време повръща отново.
Поради подобряващото й се здравословно състояние, лекарите я изпратиха на консултация с кардиолог и анестезиолог с цел подготовка за операция за поставяне на нов порт катетър. Този път той ще бъде поставен отляво (предходният беше отдясно) поради две причини: 1. кардиологът е установил свързване на артерия с вена, което се е случило след поставянето на първия порт 2. поради съмнения за инфектиране на предходния порт, лекарите искат да се застраховат и да не поставят нов на същото място. Операцията ще се извърши днес около 13:40ч. местно време. Отново се молим и надяваме на бърза, лека и успешна операция. След поставяне на порта и нова оценка на цялостното здравословно състояние на Габи, ще се реши, кога ще бъде продължена планираната химио и лъчетерапия. По график втората химиотерапия трябваше да бъде на 03.03.23г., а първата лъчетерапия на 07.03.23г.

We continue to keep you updated on Gabby's treatment and condition.
As we had mentioned in the previous news, Gabby has been battling an infection. Gabby has not left the hospital in almost a month due to this complication. Over the past few days, she was tested for TB, her blood counts were monitored regularly, a CT scan of her head and chest was done, followed by a spinal fluid collection under anesthesia. Fortunately, the examinations did not show any spread of the infection to the areas examined. The temperature was brought under control, the vomiting significantly reduced, although Gabby was still not stable enough and not eating fully and occasionally vomiting again.
Because of her improving health, the doctors sent her for a consultation with a cardiologist and an anesthesiologist to prepare for surgery to insert a new port catheter. This time it will be placed on the left (the previous one was on the right) for two reasons: 1. the cardiologist found a connection of an artery to a vein, which happened after the first port was placed 2. due to suspected infection of the previous port, the doctors want to insure themselves and not place a new one in the same place. The surgery will be performed today around 1:40pm local time. Again we pray and hope for a quick, easy and successful surgery. After a port is placed and a new evaluation of Gabby's overall health, it will be decided when the planned chemo and radiation will be continued. According to the schedule, the second chemotherapy was to be on 03.03.23 and the first radiotherapy on 07.03.23.
