Crowdfunding, or fundraising for charity, has been around for a long time in different cultures and often goes by different names. These days, the Internet is able to help many people because it gives us the opportunity to benefit from the goodwill of hundreds of donors from countries near and far. Through the World Wide Web, funds can be raised for a variety of charitable causes - medical care, anti-addiction, anti-cancer, food and other basic human needs, training and education, animal rescue, and much more. Despite its growing popularity, myths about crowdfunding cause many to give up because they think the process is expensive, dangerous and would take a long time. But let's learn the truth.

Myth #1: Online fundraising takes a long time to get started
