Hello dear people, we are Stoycho and Zlatomira from the town of Chirpan, and this is our little daughter Hristianna. She has been diagnosed with "tibial hemimelia" (shortening of the lower leg) and equinovarus foot (curvature of the foot).

The diagnosis is extremely rare! It occurs once in a million live births. To date, Chrissy has received all the medical care and surgical interventions that have been necessary. For now we have been able to manage, but the time has come for the bigger steps, namely the upcoming surgeries abroad for bone lengthening using the Irizarov method, as well as ankle reconstruction.

The amount of 83,000 euros needed for this treatment is prohibitive for us! Therefore, we are appealing for help to all people with kind hearts who are able to help, so that together we can secure the necessary funds for the treatment.

On 14.11.2024 we visited Dr. Paley's institute in Poland. After the consultation, the corresponding treatment plan was drawn up and implemented in three stages. The first stage was the placement of an Irizarov fixator in order to lengthen the tibia. This stage lasts about 12 weeks, during which daily rehabilitation sessions will be carried out at Dr. Paley's institute. The second stage is the so-called "super ankle". This is a reconstruction of the ankle to improve its function. This stage lasts 4-6 weeks after the second operation. The third stage is the removal of the fixator 12 weeks after the ankle reconstruction.
