Казвам се Ивелина и съм дъщеря на най-страхотния татко и дядо, който след неправилно лечение в България се изправи в битка за живота си.
Това е поредното предизвикателство за нашето семейство през последните месеци (лятото майка беше диагностицирана с рак на гърдата).

Погрешното лечение в България изгуби твърде ценни не дни, а месеци от живота на татко.
Диагнозата му е нискодиферециран лейомиосарком 3-та степен (злокачествен мезенхимен тумор в лявото бедро).
Диагностицирането се случи след извършване на т.нар. отворена биопсия. Тази операция се оказа поредната грешка, защото след нея туморът започна да нараства със светкавични темпове. Както се изрази лекарят в Турция - събудили са нещо спящо.
До консултация в Турция стигнахме след като лекарят, който извърши биопсията (тук в България), каза че единственото спасение е ампутация от тазобедрената става. И това без да е направил всички необходими изследвания, за да установи има ли метастази в тялото. Защото ако има метастази, ампутацията е безмислена.
За щастие, в Турция бяха на друго мнение.
Казаха, че ампутацията не е вариант и премахването на крака няма да реши проблема. След като му направиха за 2 дни всички изследвания и след като се установи, че няма метастази, започнахме химиотерапия. Необходими са 2 или 3 курса химиотерапия, 1 курс лъчетерапия и ако тумор се повлияе и започне да се свива след 3 до 4 месеца ще се направи операция за отстраняване на тумора. След операцията ще ни кажат колко курса химиотерапия и лъчетерапия ще е необходимо отново.
Положението е изключително сериозно. Опитваме се буквално да надбягаме времето, защото ситиацията не търпи и ден забавяне.
За всичко до момента се справяхме със собствени средства. Предстоящият път обаче е дълъг и няма да се справим сами. Имаме нужда от вашата помощ. Предложението, което имаме включва само курсовете химиотерапия и лъчетерапия. За операцията оферта все още нямаме, ще я получим впоследствие.
Вярвам, че заедно можем да дадем шанс на най-страхотния дядо и татко да се радва на внуците си още дълги години!

My name is Ivelina and I'm the daughter of the most awesome dad and grandpa who, after a wrong treatment in Bulgaria, faced a fight for his life.
This has been another challenge for our family in recent months (mom was diagnosed with breast cancer over the summer).
We are fighting!

The wrong treatment in Bulgaria has lost not days but months of Dad's life.
His diagnosis is low grade differentiated leiomyosarcoma grade 3 (malignant mesenchymal tumor in the left thigh).
The diagnosis happened after performing what is called an open biopsy. This operation turned out to be another mistake, because after it the tumor started to grow at a lightning pace. As the doctor in Turkey put it - they woke up something that was sleeping.
We came to a consultation in Turkey after the doctor who performed the biopsy (here in Bulgaria) said that the only salvation was amputation from the hip. And this without having done all the necessary tests to find out if there were metastases in the body. Because if there is metastasis, amputation is pointless.
Fortunately, in Turkey they were of a different opinion.
They said that amputation was not an option and removing the leg would not solve the problem. After they did all his tests in 2 days and after it was determined that there was no metastasis, we started chemotherapy. It takes 2 or 3 courses of chemo, 1 course of radiation and if the tumor responds and starts to shrink in 3 to 4 months we will do surgery to remove the tumor. After surgery we will be told how many courses of chemotherapy and radiotherapy will be needed again.
The situation is extremely serious. We are literally trying to beat the clock because the satiation does not tolerate a day's delay.
We have been managing everything so far with our own resources. However, the road ahead is long and we will not manage it alone. We need your help. The offer we have includes only the chemotherapy and radiotherapy courses. For the surgery we don't have an offer yet, we will get it later.
I believe that together we can give the greatest grandpa and dad a chance to enjoy his grandchildren for many more years!
