Hello ! My name is Valentina Dimitrova and I am the mother of Martin Dimitrov.

Marty was born in 2016, premature, at the end of 26 years, only 1.200kg. From the moment he was born the fight for life began. After the three month hospital stay, we came home and everything was fine. We noticed there was a lag in physical development when he was a year and a few months old. We started a systematic and persistent rehabilitation, which failed to achieve the desired results - to walk. We have visited many hospitals in Bulgaria, but to no avail. In the past year, we decided to seek an opinion outside Bulgaria, namely in Turkey. The doctors there conducted a lot of examinations and tests, and diagnosed Spastic Tetraparesis. This was followed by botulinum toxin injections in both feet, but the effectiveness was minimal.

At the beginning of February 2023 we had a follow-up examination again, in Istanbul. The doctors suggested surgery, SDR.

The amount for the surgery was 25,000 Euros, which was unaffordable for us.
