Charity campaign for Vili

we are Ioana and Svetlin - parents of little Vili. We would like to tell you the story of our angel and ask for your help. We are going through the most difficult time in our lives and without your support we will not make it.

When she was 1 year and 8 months old, Willi ran a fever and started vomiting. We took her to the hospital where the doctors gave Vili anti-vomiting medicine and sent her home because they thought everything was fine. However, even before she left the hospital, Vili fainted in front of the doctors, so they immediately did a head scan. That's when we heard the scariest diagnosis of all for our child - a tumor in her cerebellum. They also discovered she had hydrocephalus. They did 2 unsuccessful surgeries to remove the tumor in Greece. A third operation followed, the tumour was removed, but not long after it returned again. She underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy. A fourth operation was done, the tumour was removed again and unfortunately it came back again... The doctors at the hospital in Greece told us, and I quote.There is nothing more we can do for her..." One surgeon, however, gave in by agreeing to do a final, fifth operation. He was able to successfully remove the entire tumor with a request that we find a hospital where chemotherapy treatments could take place. We were denied from everywhere. Throughout this time, Willy had various infections - of her lungs, her stomach, and they found a clinical microbe in her head, which further complicated her condition. However, Istanbul Hospital agreed to treat Vili and in December she was admitted for chemotherapy. She underwent several courses of chemotherapy, but they did not work and the tumour started to grow again. Vili is not eligible for any more surgeries or radiotherapies given her severe condition and her age. After much deliberation among the specialists at the hospital, it was decided that she should undergo a new treatment, which was introduced for the first time into the hospital, especially for her, with permission from the Ministry of Health. This treatment, besides being more aggressive and harder on her system, is also much more expensive.

But it is the last chance for Willy's life!

After a month of taking the new drug, an MRI showed that it was working and the cancer cells had reduced in size! However, this success costs an average of 20,000 euros per month. Payments are made to the hospital of €10,000 every 14 days, which include the chemotherapy for the period, the hospital stay (€250/day) and the specialist examinations. The funds raised run out too quickly, and Willy cannot afford to interrupt her treatment right now because the tumour is very aggressive and it would be fatal for her.
