My name is Ventsislav Ivanov Zhelyazkov. I am the father of Georgi Ventsislavov Zhelyazkov, who is 14 years old and a child with cerebral palsy.

He was born at 33 gestational weeks, 3 days standing with water in his veins, which causes oxygen deficiency in the brain. Proven medical error. George has been treated since he was a baby with daily rehabilitation, speech therapist, psychologist, occupational therapy, horseback riding and swimming. This greatly improved his condition, even though the doctors' diagnosis was that he could not get out of bed. Thanks to active rehabilitation, Achilles tendon surgery did not occur until he was 9 years old. The surgery was done at the Spiesinger Hospital in Vienna, because in Bulgaria we were denied one due to the fact that in Vienna they did several surgical interventions at once together with shoes and splints, while in Bulgaria they wanted it to happen with 3-4 surgeries. Georgi is a radiant boy with not fully preserved intellect, but like all children he loves to play, to go for walks, to school.

So far we have got to the point where he can walk with the help of a hand or a walker. My request is that you help us raise more funds for George's daily rehabilitation for independent living. Unfortunately, our health care system does not care or provide for children with special needs. All the funds come from us the parents. Georgi's monthly maintenance, with all rehabilitation, speech therapists, psychologists, swimming, horse riding is 2000 BGN. I have another son who is healthy who also has expenses. We live with a mortgage and it is very difficult for my family to cope with all the expenses. That is why we are asking for help for a better life for George.
