I am the daughter of Mitko - an amazing father, husband, grandfather and a man who has been a support for everyone around him all his life. Today he needs help to continue fighting for his life.

A few months ago, my dad started feeling a pain in his abdomen and lower back.
We went through different specialists in Dobrich and Varna, did many tests, but for a long time the diagnosis remained unclear. At the beginning the doctors suspected gastritis or colitis, but the treatment did not help, on the contrary - his condition worsened every day.

After a series of tests and a scanner came the scariest news - a colon tumor with metastasis to the liver and stomach.
The shock was indescribable. To see Dad - the man who had always been strong, energetic, smiling and caring - lose his strength was something no one was prepared for.

The doctors in Bulgaria gave us no hope, so we decided to seek help abroad. In Turkey they gave him new tests - five scanners, an MRI and a colonoscopy. Thanks to this we now have an accurate diagnosis and have started targeted chemotherapy, which is already producing results - the tumour has shrunk!

For the first time in months we have hope. But the treatment is long, expensive and unaffordable for our family. The first stages of therapy alone have cost us tens of thousands of euros so far, and there are more treatments and medications to come that are vital for him.

My father is only 55 years old. His dream is to see his grandchildren grown up, to go back to work and live a full life again.
We - his family - will do our best, but we need your support.
