Казвам се Рени, на 54 години и съм от Видин. Повече от 30 години съм учител – професия, която обичам с цялото си сърце. През годините съм посветила себе си на учениците, а у дома съм съпруга и майка на две деца, горда с прекрасното си семейство.

За съжаление, дългогодишна бъбречна недостатъчност, причинена от поликистоза, анемия, хипертония, нефропатия, пиелонефрит ме доведоха до терминално бъбречно заболяване. И двата ми бъбрека са нефункциониращи. Вече преминах през безброй процедури, манипулации и болнични престои – фистула, феморален катетър, лекарства, хемодиализа… В момента съм в постоянен болничен и не мога да работя, а съпругът ми напусна работа, за да се грижи за мен и да ме придружава през ден от Видин до Монтана в по-добре организиран диализен център.

Единственият ми шанс за по-добър и пълноценен живот е бъбречна трансплантация. В България листата за чакащи е дълга и времето е решаващ фактор – затова решихме операцията да се извърши в Турция. Благодарение на съпруга ми, който ще бъде кръстосан донор, имам реална надежда да получа нов бъбрек. Но сумата, необходима за трансплантацията и лечението, е непосилна за нашето семейство.

Мечтая отново да се върна в класната стая, да бъда до децата и внуците си, и да вървя ръка за ръка със съпруга си. За да се случи това, имам нужда от помощ.

My name is Reni, I am 54 years old and I am from Vidin. I have been a teacher for more than 30 years, a profession I love with all my heart. Over the years I have dedicated myself to my students, and at home I am a wife and mother of two children, proud of my wonderful family.

Unfortunately, years of kidney failure caused by polycystic kidney disease, anemia, hypertension, nephropathy, and pyelonephritis have led me to terminal kidney disease. Both my kidneys are non-functioning. I have already gone through countless procedures, manipulations and hospital stays - fistula, femoral catheter, medications, hemodialysis... I am currently on permanent hospitalization and unable to work, and my husband quit his job to care for me and accompany me daily from Vidin to Montana to a better organized dialysis center.

My only chance for a better and fulfilling life is a kidney transplant. In Bulgaria the waiting list is long and time is a crucial factor - so we decided to have the operation in Turkey. Thanks to my husband, who will be a cross-donor, I have a real hope of getting a new kidney. But the amount of money needed for the transplant and treatment is prohibitive for our family.

My dream is to be back in the classroom, be by my children and grandchildren's side, and walk hand in hand with my husband. For that to happen, I need help.
