Стартирам тази дарителска кампания с трепет в сърцето, защото напоследък сме свидетели на разрухата, занемаряването и изоставянето на култура, изкуство и дори традиции, което е болезнено и тъжно!
Село Мокреш се намира в малка долина в Северозападна България – на 19 км югоизточно от гр. Лом на 7 км. от гр. Вълчедръм, на 50 км. от гр. Монтана.
Селото е извество в миналото с името „Малкият Париж“, поради големината на селото и интелигентността на жителите, образовани и модерно облечени.
Поп Пунчо от село Мокреш, съставя дамаскина "Поппунчов сборник", съдържащ едно от първите копия на „История Славянобългарска“. Произведението е трайно съхранено в солидна подвързия: корици от дърво, подплатени с тежка, приятна на цвят кафявочервеникава кожа. Подвързията е обвезана по периферията със златистожълта лъскава металическа сплав. И всичко върху нея – шарки, чертици, резки и точици е изкусно извезано от поп Пунчовата веща ръка…!
В парка "Жир" и до днес има следи от резиденция от римско време, която според археолози е била обитавана от римски военачалник. Старо римско гробище, години наред под прицела на иманярите, но са запазени характерни за времето скулптури.
В селото има православен храм, както и действащо читалище - НЧ "Живот - 1906", което читалище за жалост в момента е в този вид, който се вижда на направените от мен снимки.
По професия съм учител. Новият кмет на село Мокреш беше мой ученик и през годините с него съхранихме красиви приятелски отношения. Когато той пое отговорността за село Мокреш, се почувствах дълбоко свързана с неговата тежка задача, да гради и съхрани живота в това населено място.
Първата сграда, която имаме желание да ремонтираме и приведем в приличен вид е читалището, защото от културата и традициите тръгва всичко!
Молим за Вашата подкрепа в това начинание! Средствата, които успеем да съберем в тази кампания, ще бъдат изразходвани изцяло и само за материали за ремонт на читалището и площада пред него. Работата по ремонта ще бъде свършена от група доброволци и младия кмет на село Мокреш - Маргит Тонев Георгиев. Сърдечно благодарим и се надяваме да дадем нов живот на НЧ "Живот - 1906"!

I am starting this donation campaign with trembling in my heart, because lately we are witnessing the destruction, neglect and abandonment of culture, art and even traditions, which is painful and sad!
The village of Mokresh is located in a small valley in northwestern Bulgaria - 19 km southeast of the town of Mochres. The village of Moreshka is located 19 km. from the village of Lom, 7 km. from the town of. The town of Moresh is located at a distance of 19 km from the town of Valchedrum, 50 km from the town of Moresh. The village is located 50 km from the town of Vloklod.
The village is known in the past by the name "Little Paris", due to the size of the village and the intelligence of the inhabitants, educated and fashionably dressed.
Pop Puncho from the village of Mokresh, compiled the damascene "Pop Puncho's Compendium", containing one of the first copies of the "History of Slavonic Bulgaria". The work is permanently preserved in a solid binding: covers of wood, lined with heavy, pleasantly colored brownish-red leather. The binding is edged with golden yellow shiny metallic alloy. And everything on it - patterns, features, strokes and dots is artfully rendered by Pop Punch's expert hand...!
In the park "Gir" to this day there are traces of a residence from Roman times, which according to archaeologists was inhabited by a Roman commander. An old Roman cemetery, for years in the sights of the archaeologists, but typical sculptures of the time have been preserved.
There is an Orthodox church in the village, as well as an active community center - "Life - 1906", which unfortunately is currently in the form that can be seen in the photos I took.
I am a teacher by profession. The new mayor of Mokresh village was my student and over the years he and I have preserved beautiful friendly relations. When he took over responsibility for Mokresh village, I felt deeply connected to his difficult task of building and preserving life in this settlement.
The first building that we have the desire to renovate and bring to a decent state is the community centre, because from culture and tradition everything starts!
We ask for your support in this endeavor! The funds we manage to raise in this campaign will be spent entirely and only on materials for the renovation of the community center and the square in front of it. The renovation work will be done by a group of volunteers and the young mayor of Mokresh village - Margit Tonev Georgiev. We sincerely thank you and hope to give a new life to the NC "Life - 1906"!
