Казвам се Николай Ангелов и правя тази кампания за своята съпруга Поля Ангелова.
Съпругата ми е с бъбречна недостатъчност и на хемодиализа повече от 10 години. Включена е в листата на чакащите за бъбречна трансплантация от самото начало. И все още е. След години чакане да се появи подходящ донор, предприехме действия в търсене на болница, която да изпълни трансплантацията чрез донор, с различна кръвна група, нейната майка. В България този вид трансплантации все още не са одобрени, но в чужбина се изпълняват и то със същата успеваемост, както и останалите.
През 2019 година, съпругата ми беше одобрена за трансплантация в болница в Тулуза, Франция. С големи надежди и вяра, че ще получи шанс за живот, започнахме подготовката за трансплантация и нашия престой там. След 4 месеца прекарани в болницата в Тулуза и множество изследвания и предтрансплантациони процедури се наложи да се приберем, защото всички планови операции бяха прекратени, след настъпването на пандемията от COVID-19.
Тези трудни моменти не ни отнеха вярата, но поставиха много пречки на пътя ни.
След отмяна на мерките за COVID-19, получихме отказ от болницата в Тулуза, поради неизпълнението на задълженията за плащане от страна на Българската здравна каса. Това беше тежък удар, но не се отказахме от надеждата и продължихме да се борим.
След 5 години лутане и усилия – изпращане на изследвания и безброй кореспонденции с различни болници, най-накрая имаме дата за трансплантацията и нова надежда за целия ни семеен живот.
Средствата за операцията ще бъдат поети от Българската здравна каса, тъй като тя има правото да поеме разходите за трансплантация между донор и реципиент с различни кръвни групи, когато такава операция не може да се извърши в страната.
Нуждаем се от вашата подкрепа за престоя и самолетните билети, тъй като трябва да бъдем в чужбина минимум 3 седмици преди датата на операцията и поне 2 месеца след нея - Поля и аз, като нейн придружител, нейната майка, като донор и нейната сестра, като придружител на донора. Такива разходи са непосилни за нашето семейство, а без тях не можем да преминем през този критичен период.
Всяка помощ, дори и малка, ще има голямо значение за нас в този решаващ момент. Благодарим ви предварително за вашето съпричастие и помощ!

My name is Nikolay Angelov and I am doing this campaign for my wife Polya Angelova.
My wife has kidney failure and has been on hemodialysis for more than 10 years. She has been on the waiting list for a kidney transplant since the beginning. And still is. After years of waiting for a suitable donor to become available, we took action in searching for a hospital that would perform the transplant through a donor with a different blood type, her mother. In Bulgaria this type of transplant is not yet approved, but abroad it is performed and with the same success rate as the others.
In 2019, my wife was approved for a transplant in a hospital in Toulouse, France. With high hopes and faith that she would get a chance at life, we began preparations for the transplant and our stay there. After 4 months in the hospital in Toulouse and many tests and pre-transplant procedures, we had to go home because all elective surgeries were cancelled after the COVID-19 pandemic occurred.
These difficult moments did not take away our faith, but put many obstacles in our way.
After the COVID-19 measures were cancelled, we received a rejection from the hospital in Toulouse due to the default of payment by the Bulgarian Health Insurance Fund. This was a heavy blow, but we did not give up hope and kept fighting.
After 5 years of wandering and struggling - sending tests and countless correspondences with different hospitals, we finally have a date for the transplant and a new hope for our whole family life.
The cost of the operation will be covered by the Bulgarian Health Insurance Fund, as it has the right to cover the cost of a transplant between a donor and a recipient with different blood groups when such an operation cannot be performed in the country.
We need your support for the stay and the air tickets as we have to be abroad at least 3 weeks before the date of the operation and at least 2 months after - Polya and I as her companion, her mother as the donor and her sister as the donor's companion. Such expenses are unaffordable for our family, and we cannot get through this critical period without them.
Any help, however small, will make a big difference to us at this crucial time. Thank you in advance for your compassion and help!
