David Beat the Disease: When Faith, Love, and People's Compassion Make Miracles Happen

On May 26, 2025, one family's world filled with light and gratitude. The day they had dreamed of for so long finally came — David is healthy. The results from the PET scan on May 12 confirmed: there is no trace of the disease, the treatment was successful, and the 13-year-old boy is once again smiling, playing, and growing up among friends.

David’s story began with a whisper of concern and ended in a storm of hope. It all started in July 2024, when the first symptoms — knee pain, rashes, bruises, and swollen lymph nodes — led his parents to seek urgent medical help. Doctors in Bulgaria suspected Hodgkin’s lymphoma — cancer of the lymphatic system. After extensive testing, biopsies, and inconclusive results in Bulgaria and Germany, the family decided to continue the fight in Turkey.

This is how the campaign "Hope for David" was born on the platform pavelandreev.org — a cry for help, coming from a broken heart but an unbreakable spirit.

The response was overwhelming. Thanks to 2,028 donors and the donated amount of 118,258.42 EUR, David received a chance that changed everything.

David will continue follow-up check-ups every three months — but now as a victor.
