Hello dear people, my name is Diana, 54 years old, I turned from a cheerful soul into a sad wreck within 9 months. On 15.09.2023 I was diagnosed with an aggressive transitional urothelial carcinoma located in the basin of the left kidney measuring 3,2 cm by 3,8 cm. After multiple examinations, the doctors decided to have three cycles of chemotherapy and then remove the kidney, ureter and part of the bladder. It was done! I came home to Bulgaria and on 24.06.2024 the operation was performed by prof. Anakievski and his team at the University Hospital "St. Marina - Varna. Thank them from сърце❤️!

After the diagnosis came the dismissal and the unemployment-the compensation I receive is enough to cover my rent and monthly expenses...whatever I had saved was exhausted in those 9 months. I barely kept up with payments after surgery, took out a loan and will have to pay back...

I don't know what is coming in the next months, how much and where will I have to pay...? ...I went through everything alone, there were days after chemo when I wanted to die, there was no one to open my door and ask if I needed help, food, water. I crawled from my bed in the bedroom to the coffee table in the living room to get some water, to eat a banana and I have a son, but don't ask me about him .... I managed somehow .... but everything that happened during those months to this day has had a detrimental effect on my psyche and soul...it is cruel to be alone, sick and poor!
