My name is Iliyana, 39 years old from Velingrad, but I live in Sofia for many years. It is very difficult for me to write here today when even I myself am still very confused and cannot believe what exactly is happening to me. It all started a few months ago, when I started experiencing slight discomfort and losing weight for no apparent reason. I chalked it up to stress, lots of work and a hectic lifestyle.

However, a month ago the pains became severe, frequent and at times intolerable so I decided that maybe it wasn't what I thought and I should see a doctor to find the cause. And this is where my nightmare began.... I booked an urgent appointment with a surgeon at Lozenets Hospital in Sofia , because the pains were intolerable. They in their strange way reacted very adequately and admitted me immediately to the hospital and appointed the necessary tests. I had a CT scan which showed the scariest thing a young person can hear - a TUMOR COLLISION ON THE HEAD OF THE PANCREAS.

The doctors there told me I had to have surgery first. However, I needed time to make sense of everything that happened. Stabilized, I was discharged from the hospital in good general condition and sat down to sort out my thoughts and all the information I had learned. I sought advice, researched treatments, doctors and made the decision that I would continue my treatment in Bulgaria because the funds needed for treatment abroad were very high and with all the children in need I decided it was not right. I made a consultation with a professor from the MMA hospital, as a second opinion, and there I was told that really the only right way at that moment was surgery, to remove the malignant formation.

I trusted and today I write with tears in my eyes because the surgery went through but was unsuccessful. I woke up from anesthesia hoping all was well, and learned that when they opened me up they saw metastases in my liver and just shut me down without even taking biopsy material!

At that point, I made the decision that I had no other path than the one to Turkey because I wanted to live. I am a young and energetic person with dreams and hopes. I dream of children, of a beautiful family, of creating a fairy tale that was just beginning because I found the right person for me with whom I wanted to start creating memories and writing our story. The story of our family. However, fate had something else in store for me. For that, I am here today asking you wonderful people - HELP ME.

I need your help to heal and to live. At the moment I have made an inquiry for treatment in Turkey, where they want to do blood tests, Pet scan and biopsy first and based on all the results they will appoint the most correct and adequate treatment for me.

However, I do not have the funds even for the initial costs, so I am starting my campaign while I am still in the hospital in Bulgaria. Please let us walk the path together. Please stand with me and give me a chance.
