When a community acts quickly, lives can change.
In just one week, donors on the global fundraising platform PavelAndreev.ORG raised the necessary funds to provide life-support breathing equipment for 21-year-old Rustem, who lives with the severe genetic condition Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The campaign was created by Rustem’s family with a simple but vital goal — to help him breathe.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a progressive disease that gradually weakens the muscles throughout the body. Over time it affects not only the limbs, but also the heart and the muscles responsible for breathing.
For Rustem, the disease has already progressed to the stage where he can no longer breathe fully on his own.
When respiratory muscles weaken, the body cannot receive enough oxygen. At that point, life depends on specialized medical equipment.
To receive reliable respiratory support, Rustem required a high-grade medical ventilator capable of both non-invasive and invasive ventilation, along with a medical humidifier.
The total cost of the equipment was beyond the financial capacity of his family, but it proved achievable when hundreds of compassionate donors came together.

More than 200 donors united for one cause
Because the campaign slightly exceeded its goal, the remaining funds were redirected to support another campaign on the platform.
Thanks to the fast response of donors on PavelAndreev.ORG, the funds were raised in just a few days.
Today Rustem is already using his new breathing device at home.
His family shared the following message with the community:
“We are happy to share that Rustem is now using his new breathing device, which has been purchased and professionally adjusted to his medical needs. Thanks to your quick and heartfelt support, he now has reliable respiratory assistance at home.”
To ensure full transparency, the family will publish photos of the equipment along with the original purchase invoices.
Rustem’s story is another example of the strength of the PavelAndreev.ORG community.
When urgent treatment or life-support medical equipment is needed, time is often critical. Online donations allow people from different countries to unite quickly and provide help exactly where it is needed.
On behalf of Rustem’s family and the entire PavelAndreev.ORG team, we thank everyone who supported this campaign.
As Rustem’s family shared:
“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank every donor and everyone who shared the campaign. Your kindness gave Rustem and our family air and peace of mind.”
Every donation is an action.
Every share is a chance.
And every successful campaign proves that when people unite, hope becomes stronger.
