Hello to all ANGELS! First I want to thank everyone who gave Michonne hope.
He had to have emergency surgery on the stem cell tumor around which a progressive cyst had formed. The only doctor who agreed to this was an Italian whose words were " IF IT IS NOT DONE NOW YOU HAVE AT MOST TWO MONTHS TO LIVE". You know those words are more than treacherous to parents' ears.
In Bulgaria they did not give a chance to remove this tumor. We were left with prayers and prayers only.
Well dear friends Michonne has gone through this surgery and the tumor WITH the bite is REMOVED COMPLETELY!
Due to a hydrocephalus valve ( in Bulgaria) being inserted which became infected, the surgery was extremely difficult for the Italian surgeon.
We are hoping for a quick recovery, but will need another surgery to put in a new valve next week.
The truth is that the doctors here in Italy have high hopes for Michaud, but he will have to go through more surgeries in the future.
The remaining funds in the campaign will not be enough to cover all the costs, as only the surgery has been paid for so far, without the complete stay. Another surgery and at least two more long weeks are in the offing with hopes for a quicker recovery.
