Hello dear friends, I would like to share with you the progress of our campaign!

I haven't posted on the platform recently to update you on the news about Marty. I am repeating myself here, but I would like to remind you that on 28.04.2023 Marty had a successful surgery at the Altonizadeh Hospital in the town of Altonizadeh. He was admitted with a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. The tumor was about 2.5 cm in diameter and about 8 mm in depth. Marty underwent a partial tongue resection followed immediately by reconstruction. A cervical lymph node dissection was also performed. No chemotherapy had to be performed, only radiotherapy. He was admitted for radiotherapy at Ajebadem City Clinic Hospital from 16.06.2023 to 28.07.2023. After the radiotherapy, in the month of August, Marty again had a follow up check up with Dr. Hakan in the city of. Istanbul. Afterwards, Dr. Hakan assured us that everything was fine. He was pleased with how Marty was recovering. He informed us that the tongue had healed perfectly as well as the donor site on the left cheek. The mobility of the tongue was excellent. He recommended that he have an MRI in November and send the results. Since the results were very good, there was nothing worrisome, we did not need to see him again. The arrangement was to go for another examination at the end of February, having an MRI and five scanners. The date for the review and the requested tests have now been set. We will leave for Turkey on 02/28/2024 for the five scanner on 03/01/2024 and the MRI and review the following day, 03/02/2024. Once again, thank you all for your participation!
