Малката Гери много бързо расте. Умалели са са ботушките. Малката е много ученолюбива и вече е научила песничка на английски в детската градина. Майка и иска да и купи дискове с детски песни на чуждия език. Налага се и подмяна на топлите чорапогащници, защото Гери е с крехко здраве и лесно се простудява. Старите са умалели. В детската градина предлагат на майката детето да взема допълнителни часове по английски, което е реално, защото педагожката посещава градината два пъти седмично и работи с деца, чиито родители заплащат. Майката непрекъснато подменя и бельото на дъщеря си, предпочита памучно бельо, защото Гери е с нежна кожа.
