¡URGENTE! Ayuda a Emily a seguir luchando

Durante un momento tan precioso como el embarazo de nuestra hija Emily, una ecografía de rutina cambió nuestras vidas para siempre. A las 31 semanas de embarazo recibimos el diagnóstico fetal de Síndrome del Corazón Izquierdo Hipoplásico. A pesar de todo, seguimos luchando para que Emily pudiera crecer y, cuando ella naciera, tuviéramos posibles soluciones médicas para ella. Sin embargo, con el nacimiento de nuestro milagro, Emily recibió la devastadora noticia de que las pruebas posnatales revelaron que su condición había empeorado. Una parte de su corazón estaba bloqueada, convirtiendo el diagnóstico inicial en un defecto cardíaco congénito de gran complejidad.

En Guatemala, ningún hospital ni médico puede atender un problema cardíaco tan crítico. Una vez más no nos dimos por vencidos y buscamos por todo el mundo hospitales de alto nivel que pudieran ofrecerle a nuestra hija un futuro donde no sufriera y pudiera crecer feliz. Fue entonces cuando encontramos un milagro: el equipo de cardiología del Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona nos proporcionó una propuesta de cirugías multifásicas. Sin embargo, es de GRAN URGENCIA recaudar los fondos necesarios, ya que el momento de las cirugías depende del desarrollo del corazón de Emily. Os pedimos y rogamos que nos ayudéis a seguir buscando todas las formas posibles para recaudar la cantidad que necesita el hospital, que son 225.200€. Gracias por su ayuda y el increíble trabajo que realizan para apoyar a tantas familias y niños, especialmente por su gran empatía con los desafíos que enfrentamos a lo largo del camino de la vida. During such a precious moment as the pregnancy of our daughter Emily, a routine ultrasound changed our lives forever. At 31 weeks of pregnancy, we received the fetal diagnosis of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Despite everything, we kept fighting so Emily could grow, and when she was born, we would have potential medical solutions for her.

However, with the birth of our miracle, Emily came the devastating news that postnatal tests revealed her condition had worsened. A part of her heart was blocked, turning the initial diagnosis into a highly complex congenital heart defect. In Guatemala, no hospitals or doctors can address such a critical cardiac issue.

Once again, we did not give up and searched around the world for high-level hospitals that could offer our daughter a future where she wouldn't suffer and could grow up happy. That’s when we found a miracle: the cardiology team at Barcelona SJD Children’s Hospital provided us with a proposal for multi-phase surgeries. However, it is of GREAT URGENCY to raise the necessary funds, as the timing of the surgeries depends on the development of Emily’s heart.

We ask and beg you to help us continue seeking every possible way to raise the amount required by the hospital, which is €225,200.
