In the middle of July this year, after a gastrointestinal virus, Boyan felt very weak and without the ability to do any physical activity. At a visit to his GP he was given tests. After analysing the results, the GP referred him for an examination by a gastroenterologist. On examination, the gastroenterologist recommended emergency admission to hospital as he saw lesions in the liver on ultrasonography. He was admitted to a cancer hospital in Varna. A gastroscopy and a scan were performed. A malignant mass was found in the stomach and metastases in the liver and lung. Histological examination confirmed it. The diagnosis was adenocarcinoma of the stomach (cardia). Consultation was made with an oncologist , who did not recommend surgery at this stage given the metastases. A hospital in Turkey offered chemotherapy combined with smart drugs. Then to follow up the condition with five scanner, which will determine the subsequent treatment.
