Имаме си ново сърчице We have a new heart

Преди две седмици, чудото се случи. Имаме си ново сърчице. И работи добре. Първоначално беше няколко дни отново на устройството ЕКМО, след което успяха да го махнат и да затворят гръдния кош. Екстубираха я наскоро, от дългия период на апаратна вентилация обаче, в момента й отнема малко повече време да се справи отново сама с дишането. Премахнаха дреновете, намалиха лекарствата. Продължава да е на парентерално хранене и на обезболяващи медикаменти. На този етап се справя прилично.

За съжаление има проблем с едно от крачетата, което имаше инфекция още в България, сега е стигнало до степен некроза, силно се надавам да успеят да запазят целостта на крачето и да не се наложат по-драстични мерки.

Two weeks ago, the miracle happened. We got a new heart. And it works well. At first it was a few days back on the ECMO device, then they were able to remove it and close the chest. They extubated her recently, however, from the long period on the ventilator, she is now taking a little longer to get back to breathing on her own. They removed the drains, reduced the meds. She continues to be on parenteral nutrition and pain meds. She is doing decently at this point.

Unfortunately there is a problem with one of her legs that had an infection back in Bulgaria, it has now gotten to the point of necrosis, I really hope they can keep the integrity of the leg and not have to take more drastic measures.
