As fundraising can also be conducted online only, it is a tempting idea to organise a fundraising event. The fact is that in-person fundraising events offer an extra emotion that you can't get from virtual fundraising. We highly recommend you take advantage of at least one of our fundraising event ideas (or several) for your next charitable cause.
Events are a way to gather friends and family, as well as people you may not know, and fight for a good cause together. When everyone sees how much time, effort and passion you and your team have put into fundraising for your cause, it adds energy to a campaign in a way that participants can see and feel.

Ask friends or acquaintances who are artists - such as painters, photographers, sculptors or jewellery makers - to donate to the cause. Also, any artwork available for sale at the event can be sold and the funds go to your charitable cause.
At these events, participants are usually asked to give a certain amount based on the total number of miles they have travelled. This is a great opportunity for a little friendly competition. If fundraising online, it's important to make sure funds are only donated through your platform and not through other channels to avoid misuse. You can also partner with a local business to also donate in exchange for placing a billboard ad at the event.
Organize a charity sporting event. For example, basketball, football, tennis, golf or another game. Ask friends and family to make their donation in the form of an entry fee as a way to raise money. There should also be a donation box set up at the event. Ask local sports organizations and teams if any coaches would be willing to help coordinate the event as well as be the face of the campaign.
Hosting a dinner party or charity banquet is a great fundraising idea to get a large group of people together, enjoy good food, and collect donations. Invite your friends, neighbors and family. The event can be held at your home, club or restaurant. Place a donation box in a prominent place for everyone to donate. You can organize a quiz game, themed dance or other entertainment for young and old during the dinner. Share a link to your campaign on social media and let everyone know they don't have to donate, it's just optional.
If you're fundraising for a child (or adult) who loves skateboarding, throw the skate on the ground to raise funds at a local park where kids and adults can skate for a good cause. Try contacting professional skaters - maybe they'd like to skateboard for charity for your cause. As always, set up a collection box where attendees can easily see it and help your cause.
Create and sell t-shirts, bags, mugs and other items for your fundraising event. It's a good idea to make sure they have your initiative's logo and show what or who your cause is for. You can also display a picture of the person you are fighting for (the beneficiary). You can also leave the link address of your campaign on the item. This is a great way to raise awareness among your friends and a great way to raise funds.
Check out our Facebook group, Bazaar. You can purchase an item there and the amount you pay for it will go to a charitable cause.
Car washes have long been a popular way overseas to rally support for a good cause and raise money. Advertise your car wash on your fundraising page and on social media. Let donors know they can visit the car wash on a specific date and have their car washed to benefit a cause. Also place a donation box at the car wash where anyone can donate extra if they wish. Arrange with the car wash owner to donate a percentage of the profits from the day you wash cars to charity.
Be the organizer of a summer barbecue fundraiser. You'll listen to music and chat with your friends. Anyone who wants to can donate in a box that you will put in a visible place. To bring the group together ask them to each bring something - side dishes, fruit, vegetables, chips etc. Look for a local group of musicians who would be willing to play for charity at your event. If the terrain you have gathered on allows, you can arrange outdoor games or sports.
Are you ready to start your campaign with one of these fundraising ideas? Whether your answer is "Yes" or "No," you can contact me right away to discuss your cause and try to make it happen.
