At the beginning of June 2025 my brother George felt unwell had a headache, slight flushing and dizziness, sweating for no reason and weakness in the legs. We figured it was due to the fact that a few days earlier he had donated blood for a man in need.

After a few more days, he had a hemorrhage in his eye and severe pain in his right abdomen. He was rushed to hospital where he was immediately diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. He was admitted for treatment on 12 June. He has since undergone two courses of chemotherapy, sustained nerve damage, double vision and undergone head surgery following a haematoma.

He went into remission for 16 days, but the disease came back very aggressively and affected the optic nerve. George is now back in remission after extremely heavy chemotherapy but required an emergency bone marrow transplant.

George is 38 years old, single, and fighting a great battle for his life. We would be grateful for any financial help, because although money is a barrier, when there is unity it is only a small obstacle on the road to hope for a quick and accurate cure.

Acute T-Lymphoblastic Leukemia is extremely aggressive and the risk of relapse is very high. That is why we are seeking assistance so that the transplant can be performed as quickly as possible and no valuable time is wasted.
