Всичко изчезна за минути. Домът ни, животът ни – в пламъци.
Събудихме се от странен, пукащ шум в 5 сутринта. Не беше аларма. Не беше гръмотевица. Излязохме навън и видяхме... огън. Огромни пламъци се издигаха от задната част на къщата – два метра над покрива. Секунда по-късно, вече тичахме да събудим децата – синът ни, който живее с нас, и дъщеря ни... тя е бременна, дойде само за няколко дни да ни види.
С дим в очите и страх в гърдите грабнахме каквото успяхме. Нямаше време – само паника, кашлица, отчаян опит да спасим живото си. В спалнята вече нямаше въздух. Докато чакахме пожарната, гледахме как пламъците преглъщат всичко – масата, на която вечеряхме като семейство, леглото, в което до преди минути спяхме… домът ни.
Покривът се срути пред очите ни. Таванът падна. Мебелите – в пепел. Дрехите, снимките, книгите, спомените – нищо не остана.
Над 3 часа огнеборците се бориха с пожара. Осем пожарни коли. След това – часове наред сами гасихме с маркучи, отчаяни да спасим поне нещо. Но останаха само овъглени стени, черни греди и един огромен въпрос: "Как се започва отначало?"
Сега стоим сред руините. Без дом. Без покрив. С деца, които имат нужда от подслон. С дъщеря, която скоро ще стане майка. Трябва да изградим всичко от нулата – тухла по тухла, сантиметър по сантиметър. Да създадем отново място, което да наричаме дом.
Молим за помощ.
Не е лесно да просим. Но още по-трудно е да погледнем децата си в очите и да кажем, че нямаме къде да ги приютим.

За нас това не е просто къща. Това е домът, който трябва да възстановим, за да продължим да живеем.
Everything disappeared in minutes. Our home, our lives - in flames.
We woke up to a strange, crackling noise at 5am. It wasn't an alarm. It wasn't thunder. We went outside and saw... fire. Huge flames were rising from the back of the house - two feet above the roof. A second later, we were running to wake up the kids - our son, who lives with us, and our daughter... she's pregnant, she only came to see us for a few days.
With smoke in our eyes and fear in our chests, we grabbed what we could. There was no time - just panic, coughing, desperately trying to save our lives. There was no more air in the bedroom. As we waited for the fire department, we watched the flames consume everything - the table we ate dinner at as a family, the bed we slept in until minutes ago... our home.
The roof collapsed before our eyes. The ceiling fell in. The furniture - in ashes. The clothes, the photos, the books, the memories - nothing was left.
For over 3 hours the firemen fought the fire. Eight fire trucks. After that - we spent hours hosing it down ourselves, desperate to save at least something. But all that was left were charred walls, black beams and one huge question.
Now we stand among the ruins. Without a home. No roof. With children who need shelter. With a daughter who will soon be a mother. We have to build everything from scratch - brick by brick, inch by inch. To re-create a place to call home.
We are asking for help.
It is not easy to beg. But it's even harder to look our children in the eye and say we have nowhere to house them.
