During the month of March, together with "Embrace Me" Association, we support 14 talented children! They are the "unknown", the abandoned, our - your children. Children lost or taken away from their parents. The heroes of our cause are children who have been placed, raised and live in different social support centres, but who have something that sets them apart from the rest - the talent they bring and the diligence with which they develop it.

How will we help?

We will support a creative holiday for 14 children from three Family Accommodation Centres "Ivan Vazov", "Lyuben Karavelov" and "Detelina" - Sofia. The theme is "Tales from ours for your children" and will take place from 8 April to 13 April in Koprivshtitsa. After the holiday a book will be published on the theme with fairy tales invented and illustrated by the children.

The children are aged from 6 years to 18 years and will be with 4 chaperones and 1 leader (by law) , 3 artists and 3 actors.

We will pay the cost of the stay for the whole group for 6 days and the fees of 3 of the artists, all at a cost of £10,988 (see budget). If more money is raised we would support the publication of the booklet and/or the provision of clothes and clothing for the children.

#Together with Hug Me!

Embrace Me Association is a continuation of a creative workshop established in 2005 with the idea of creating a space for talented children deprived of parental care. Hundreds of children and young people from different social services have been through monthly creative workshops and holidays with different focuses. In an average year, about 30 to 40 young people and children deprived of parental care participate in the workshops. Currently, the association works with six family-type accommodation centres - four in the city of Sofia and two in the village of Dren, Radomirsko, two sheltered/transitional housing and one centre for children who have suffered violence.

"Children, their dreams and achievements - they are our inspiration, meaning and support. Most of them cross the threshold of the atelier with the complex of the abandoned, unloved, unloved child who grows up with the attitude that the world is a bad place, that life is a nasty business, and it is just. That's why most of them want to be loud, scary and bad. And we teach them other things - that one is not alone, that the good and beautiful is stronger than the evil.The greatest joy are the achievements of four of our graduates - Niki, who graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Ilia Petrov"; Zdravka, who graduated with honors in acting;Anio, a student of Visual Arts; Liya, a student at the National School of Applied Arts "St. Luke" - says Milena Neyova, one of the founders of the association.

Since the summer of 2010, the "Embrace Me" association has been holding creative holidays with different focuses - literary activities, visual and applied arts, text illustration, theatre workshops and cinema meetings, trips through cultural and historical sites of Bulgaria.

Holidays are the living link, the inspiration and the occasion for creating community life between adults and children who participate equally and devotedly in all daily activities. This helps the children immensely to establish themselves as socially responsible adults. The beauty they create in the workshops becomes their inner resilience, giving them meaning and inclusion. Thus building courage, faith and action for their better future.
