Dear people, acquaintances and strangers, I would like to tell you the story of Teddy - one of the most combative people I have ever met in my life. Fate treated her hellishly unfair, she didn't break her head over the years, but now she can't cope anymore and needs help.

Please reach out to a mother who dreams of dancing with her son at his prom, of hugging her husband, but not to carry her in her arms to bed or the bathroom, but to go out for a walk together...

She really deserves a chance and I pray we can give her one.

Teddy's story is a long one, and one that is littered with many trials and tribulations.

When she was 5 years old, she was a little girl. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Ever since then, at that tender age, she has faced hospitals and the lack of a normal childhood. She was going home under an hour for her insulin injection, eating a strict diet and always complying with the disease, while we were some carefree kids with a happy childhood. She failed to feel what it was like to be a child, took care of herself like an adult and kept on striving forward.

So over the years she managed to become " friends" with Diabetes and tried to lead as normal a life as possible.

Until in 2004, just as she was preparing for high school graduation and upcoming college entrance exams, Teddy suddenly lost the sight in one eye. She was then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and instead of graduation parties and going to exams, Teddy was admitted to hospital for a long period. It was another slap of fate that she had to endure...

She was prescribed therapy on strong medication, but still had relapses. She tried to control them, but it was hellishly difficult at times.

In 2006 she lost her brother unexpectedly in a car accident and the stress led to a seizure with a long period of treatment and many consequences for her general condition...

So more years passed ...

During these years, her childhood love Plamen was always by her side. Her support and hope...

In 2009, happiness finally landed on her shoulder and Teddy became pregnant. She spent the entire pregnancy on bed rest and in hospital, but it didn't break her. There were many critical moments of the pregnancy, but at the beginning of the 8th month she and Plamen had a baby boy. Gabby was in a cube for 3 weeks and in life-threatening condition, but she made it. All three became the happy family of their dreams.

Until she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and the shock was huge. She had both breasts removed and went through chemo and radiation. But she didn't give up - she fought for the sake of her baby girl, the love of her husband and all her loved ones. And she went through that ordeal too. With all these illnesses, only she knew what the price was to stay on her feet...

Until in 2021 she suddenly lost her father and that led to another emotional and physical breakdown. Teddy had a severe attack of MS and despite all the medication, stays in various hospitals and thousands of consultations with doctors, her condition did not improve.

She is now confined to bed, almost completely immobilised, unable to look after herself and her speech is quite impaired to the point where it is almost impossible to understand what she is saying.

Her husband Plamen takes care of her, the child also helps, but she dreams of being able to get back on her feet or at least being able to say something again.

After another consultation, there is a ray of hope - therapy in Turkey to alleviate and possibly improve her condition. But after all the therapies we have had in Bulgaria, physiotherapy, specialists and medication, we cannot cope financially.

There is hope that her condition can be improved, with infusions, tests and a specialized approach.
