Imagine a night without a roof over your head. No warm bed, no security, just the cold, uncertain streets. For many, this is not an occasional hardship but an everyday reality.
The Women Reform Organization (WRO) is taking a bold step to raise awareness and funds for women and children facing homelessness in Nigeria by launching the 7-Day Sleep-Out Campaign. From March 22-28, 2025, our team, alongside supporters and advocates, will voluntarily sleep outside for seven days to experience, just for a moment, what thousands endure daily.
Homelessness isn’t just about lacking shelter; it’s about the loss of dignity, security, and opportunity. Many women and children who find themselves on the streets are victims of domestic violence, economic hardship, or displacement. Without intervention, their path to recovery is nearly impossible.
Through this campaign, we aim to:
- Raise funds to provide safe housing, vocational training, and mental health support for affected women.
- Advocate for policy changes and sustainable solutions to tackle homelessness.
- Foster empathy and ignite action by giving people firsthand insight into the struggles of the homeless.
We are calling on compassionate individuals like you to donate, share, and support this cause. Every dollar raised will directly impact a woman or child in need, offering them hope and a fresh start.
$10 can provide a meal for a homeless woman
$50 can cover a night’s shelter for a mother and child
$100 can contribute to vocational training and job placement
No contribution is too small, your generosity can change lives.
Let’s stand together and make a real difference.
Donate today. Share our mission. Be the change.
