David managed to overcome the illness - thank you for being a part of it!

David's story began on July 23, 2024, when he started complaining of knee pain. Initial examinations showed nothing serious, but after antibiotic treatment, his condition worsened – rashes, bruises, and a huge lymph node appeared. After numerous examinations in Bulgaria, doctors referred David to the pediatric oncology department in Plovdiv. His treatment continued in Turkey, where after multiple tests and a biopsy of the abdominal cavity and bone marrow, doctors diagnosed the child with leukemia.

At the beginning of February, after a PET scan, the family received incredible news – David was CLEAR! This is the first major step towards his recovery and brings new hope. This was made possible thanks to you!

David underwent a course of chemotherapy, and from March 26, 2025, to April 9, 2025, he will also undergo radiation therapy. Fortunately, in recent days, the family received another wonderful piece of news – David's lymph nodes, which were previously enlarged by 150%, are now completely normal!

After the final PET scan (Positron Emission Tomography), it is expected to become clear whether the treatment has been successful. The family is filled with gratitude and hope, dear donors!

For the positive development of the story, for the opportunity provided, 2017 donors who raised a total of EUR 117,970.79 were crucial, providing invaluable support for David's research and treatment! Without your help, overcoming the biggest challenge in David's life would not have been possible.
