Hello dear people, this is Blagovest, who is 3 years old, but unfortunately he has been fighting hard for his life since he was born. He is constantly on blood transfusions that prevent his normal development, and now he has an enlarged liver. He has had two bone marrow biopsies taken, had numerous tests done in Bulgaria, but unfortunately no definitive diagnosis or adequate treatment. We, the parents of this long awaited and wonderful child, could not bear to watch our child suffer and took him to a clinic in Turkey. They did tests on him and based on what we had from Bulgaria, we were told that he was a candidate for a bone marrow transplant with a diagnosis of a severe form of thalassemia. The final results will be ready next week on Wednesday and it will be clear if they will be able to take cells for the transplant from us, his parents or if they will have to look for a suitable donor. So far we have managed on our own, but for the transplant we won't be able to do it without your help. The cost of the transplant will be between 85,000 - 125,000 euros, the amount depends on where the donor cells will be taken from.
