I want to briefly, as much as I can, share the story of a person very close to me.

Fatme,

She is 37 years old - a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend - a real person who brought all these roles together. Sadly, she has been battling a serious cancer for 2 years - Exocervix with metastasis to the liver.

A few months after the birth of his daughter he learned of the scary diagnosis. Total shock followed! How so? When? From where? Why? Surely there is some mistake? After shaking off the ridiculous situation her treatment began - 2 surgeries, many chemotherapies, radiotherapies, but the disease could not be controlled, on the contrary it progressed and her health condition did not improve.

Neither Fatme nor her relatives despair and give up. She is determined to go through this battle and emerge victorious in the fight for life because there is someone and something to fight for!

Her family finds an opportunity for treatment abroad, in a Turkish hospital, but the amount is quite high and unaffordable for them.

She started treatment in Turkey and initially needed 25,000 Euros - this is the price set by the hospital for 6 chemotherapy treatments over 21 days, and thanks to a successful fundraising campaign and personal funds she was able to complete the first stage of treatment.A scan was done and the results were good there is improvement and a chance to control the disease.

We still have a long way to go,

After the last chemotherapy we had a meeting with our treating professor, who told us that the treatment has been successful so far, but we need to continue (usually there is always a "but" to keep us on our toes). The extremely high risk of the disease necessitates constant monitoring and an instant reaction to adverse developments.

We continue treatment with a specific type of immunotherapy combined with Targeted Therapy. The amount needed for this is about 300 000 BGN. For this reason, we are continuing the campaign until the required amount is raised.We need to give her 36 infusions,over 21 days and each visit to the hospital pays about 8.500 BGN.
