Hello, Guardian Angels Христо❤️❤️❤️ After 14 agonizing months of living with half a skull and according to some doctors with almost zero chance of life for Christo, Turkish neurosurgeons prof. Serdar Albayrak and Dr. Türker Karanci from Biruni Hospital Istanbul have restored dignity to our struggling boy. For three weeks, Dr. Muroba and her team fought the infections we came from Bulgaria with. They constantly did check-ups, treated, monitored Christo around the clock and were by his side constantly. And once the infections subsided, the main surgery was undertaken- skull reconstruction. We were repeatedly warned that it was very risky and complications could occur. First- Christo is in an awake coma, second- he is susceptible to infections, and third/ the scariest/ the very nature of the surgery. The surgery was this Monday /11.09./ ... Severe, very severe, more severe than expected. The skin/dura mater/ that covers the brain was soaked into the brain where there is no skull/ and it was half of the head. Yet it has passed without complications... These are critical days for Christo. Today is already the third day. His fever is rising, but they are continuing with the antibiotics and constant monitoring of his condition. They say it's normal🙏

By today the financial side was handled. However, we have at least 10 more days of staying for monitoring and getting the stitches removed. Eye surgery is also coming up, as well as a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon and possible tests. I really hope after the most severe surgery, the orthopedists will find a solution to the hand and foot problems as well. The cost of additional ointments, medications and orthopaedic pillows we are covering with our own funds.

So please, dear people, let's bring the fight for Christo's life to the end🙏🙏🙏
