Сейхан е кръгъл сирак, израсъл в дом за деца без родители, който като дете губи и двата си крака. Въпреки нелеката си съдба, той с достойнство посреща предизвикателствата, които му поднася живота. Никога не се оплаква, не хленчи и стоически се бори с проблемите си като всеки българин.
В началото на м. април 2023 г. заради проблем с лявото си око посещава офталмолог, който констатира, че има сериозен проблем и е застрашен да загуби зрението на окото, ако не му бъде направена трансплантация на роговицата.
Според хора преминали през този ад и претърпели негативите от подобна интервенция извършена в България, рискът от неуспешен опит (или още по-лошият вариант – нанасяне на по-големи вреди на окото) е голям. Затова, негови приятели и колеги предлагат на Сейхан да проучи въпроса за извършване на операцията в чужбина. Предвид твърде високите цени на такова лечение в страните от Западна Европа, усилията са насочени в търсене на вариант за операция в някоя от клиниките в Турция, които постигат отлични резултати на по-поносими цени.
Сейхан е получил няколко оферти, чрез агенция TURMED, която предлага посреднически услуги за лечение в Турция (вкл. осигуряване на координатор/асистент владеещ турски и български език, съдействие с хотел, трансфер от гара/летище и т. н.). Най-ниската оферта за такава трансплантация е от ЛИВ ХОСПИТАЛ УЛУС – Истанбул. Сумата за операцията е 5000 евро, но към тази сума следва да се добавят и разходи за предварителен преглед, предоперативни изследвания, транспорт, болничен и следболничен престой, контролен преглед и др. Според TURMED, сумата за допълнителните разходи може да варира от 2000-3000 евро (в идеалния случай с престой от един ден в клиниката и една седмица на хотел в Истанбул) до 10000 евро (в случай, че се наложи по-дълъг престой в клиниката, който струва 500 евро на ден).
Аритметиката сочи, че ще е нужно да се съберат поне 7000 евро, което не е стряскаща сума, но Сейхан не разполага с нея. Той няма други доходи освен заплатата си, с която посреща ежемесечните си разходи (в това число и наема на жилището, в което живее) и не е ясно кога ще успее и дали въобще ще успее скоро да събере въпросната сума.

Seihan is a round orphan who grew up in a home for children without parents and lost both his legs as a child. Despite his plight, he meets life's challenges with dignity. He never complains, never whines and stoically fights his problems like any Bulgarian.
In early April 2023, because of a problem with his left eye, he visited an ophthalmologist who found that he had a serious problem and was in danger of losing the sight in his eye if he did not have a corneal transplant.
According to people who have gone through this hell and suffered the negatives of such an intervention performed in Bulgaria, the risk of a failed attempt (or worse - causing more damage to the eye) is high. Therefore, his friends and colleagues suggested Seyhan to explore the issue of performing the surgery abroad. Given the prohibitive cost of such treatment in Western European countries, efforts were directed at seeking an option for surgery in one of the clinics in Turkey that achieve excellent results at more affordable prices.
Seyhan has received several offers through TURMED agency, which offers mediation services for treatment in Turkey (including providing a coordinator/assistant fluent in Turkish and Bulgarian, assistance with hotel, transfer from train station/airport, etc.). The lowest offer for such a transplant is from LIV HOSPITAL ULUS - Istanbul. The amount for the operation is 5000 euros, but to this amount should be added the costs of the preliminary examination, pre-operative tests, transport, hospital and post-hospital stay, follow-up examination, etc. According to TURMED, the amount for the additional costs can range from 2000-3000 euros (ideally with a stay of one day in the clinic and one week at a hotel in Istanbul) to 10000 euros (in case a longer stay in the clinic is necessary, which costs 500 euros per day).
The arithmetic shows that it would be necessary to raise at least 7,000 euros, which is not a startling sum, but Seyhan does not have it. He has no income other than his salary, which he uses to meet his monthly expenses (including the rent of the flat where he lives) and it is not clear when he will be able to raise the amount in question, or if he will be able to do so soon at all.
