На 21.07.23г. Габи бе приета в болницата заради инфекциозно заболяване, което се развиваше и лекарите прецениха, че искат да е под наблюдение. След като се увериха, че то се повлиява от предписаните медикаменти, Габи бе изписана на 24.07.23г с указания да продължи лечението в домашни условия.
Както обичайно, цялостното й състояние се проследяваше чрез регулярни кръвни изследвания. По план шестата химиотерапия трябваше да се проведе последната седмица на месец Юли, но за жалост отново бе забавена поради инфекциозното заболяване и бавното покачване на кръвните показатели.
Днес, 15.08.23г. Габи постъпи за 6-ти курс следоперативна химиотерапия, която трябва да е и последна от назначеното следоперативно лечение. Планът, очертан от д-р Бернбек (главният лекуващ лекар) е след приключване на 6-тия курс следоперативна химиотерапия да се изчака 3 седмици и ако всичко е наред, да се извърши операция по премахване на порт катетъра, през който се извършват вливанията. Тъй като винаги след приключване на химиотерапия възниква някакво усложнение, очакваме д-р Бернбек да ни информира какво ще се сучи след това. Вероятно отново ще се изчака възстановяване на кръвните показатели и тогава ще се вземе решение кога и дали момента е подходящ за операцията.

On 21.07.23 Gabby was admitted to the hospital because of an infectious disease that was developing and the doctors decided that they wanted her to be under observation. After ensuring that it was responding to the prescribed medication, Gabby was discharged on 24.07.23 with instructions to continue treatment at home.
As usual, her overall condition was monitored through regular blood tests. The sixth chemotherapy was scheduled to take place in the last week of July, but unfortunately was delayed again due to the infectious disease and the slow rise in blood counts.
Today, 15.08.23, Gabby was admitted for the 6th course of post-operative chemotherapy, which should be the last of the post-operative treatment scheduled. The plan outlined by Dr. Bernbeck (the primary treating physician) is to wait 3 weeks after the completion of the 6th course of post-operative chemotherapy and, if all is well, to perform surgery to remove the port catheter through which the infusions are given. As there is always some complication after the completion of chemotherapy, we are waiting for Dr. Bernbeck to inform us what will happen next. Probably again we will wait for the blood counts to recover and then decide when and if the time is right for the surgery.
